History

Acorn Sign Graphics embodies the cumulative experience of more than 80 years of distinguished service in the sign industry. Two firms, Acorn Sign (since 1964) and Sign Graphics, Inc. (since 1972) merged in 2006 to create Acorn Sign Graphics. Today, ASG is a nationally recognized and award-winning company that is respected as an industry leader and innovator.

History of Innovation

At ASG, we love to innovate. We are among the first sign companies in Central Virginia to provide full color, large scale digital inkjet graphics. We also led the way with even higher quality large format direct to substrate printing technologies that use more environmentally friendly UV-cured inks.

Environmentally Focused

With a name like Acorn, we have to be green! Our pioneering work in eco-friendly sign solutions is included as a case study in the first Green Paper:Best Practices, Strategies and Scenarios for Sustainability in Environmental Graphic Design, published by the Society for Environmental Graphic Design in 2007. We continue to lead the way in “going green” by working with new materials and fabrication methods that minimize the impact on the environment.

Proven Leadership

ASG was an early partner in the implementation of Virginia’s American Disabilities Act signage regulations. We are also longstanding members of all major sign associations and have served on the Board of the Virginia Sign Association for many years. Maintaining leadership roles is just one way that we give back to the sign industry and stay on top of the newest trends in sign manufacturing and design.

Industry Recognition

ASG is proud to have been recognized over the years by our colleagues and peers for our work in the sign industry. Since the 1990’s, we have been recipients of numerous design awards from the United States Sign Council.
