Our Challenge: This creative organization needed a look in keeping with their high level of artistic style, achieved within a limited budget.

Deliverable: ASG installed the exterior sign about a year before the interior renovations for the Visual Arts Center were complete. Its dramatic presence contributed to the buzz that helped generate more interest in the Center’s programs and growth. The client then came back to ASG to fabricate interior signage. The interior signage program included vinyl lettering applied directly to wall surfaces to carry inspirational thoughts throughout the building. For studio and room identification, the client wanted the look of dimensional letters, but also had concerns about pulling off every letter in order to repaint the walls in future years. ASG solved this dilemma with an innovative single unit fabrication solution by routing the dimensional letters integral to a base fitted with a mounting system allowing easy removal.

Something we think is cool: ASG was able to suggest cost effective designs, processes and materials to substitute for more expensive materials. Instead of costly metals, we used acrylic with metallic paints. And instead of glass, we used clear acrylic. The result is simplicity at its best, and unusually effective.
