Guess who made the new signs for Ellwood Thompson’s Market and new Coffee Shop?

We love this project for a local market offering natural foods and locally grown produce. The brand identity guides the entire project. The architect-owner and his designer came to ASG to collaborate on flushing out the design and on achieving the most environmentally friendly sign solutions possible. Signs and fixtures produced by ASG incorporate recycled material, and even include reclaimed traffic signs reincarnated as display tables.

New donor sign lights up at Children’s Hospital

Donor signs don’t have to be boring. This large lit sign takes its inspiration from a swoosh design in the adjacent flooring, and brings the motion, color and light up high onto the wall. The sign is consistent with the positive, child-friendly energy of the rest of Children’s Hospital signage program fabricated by ASG.

HoneyTree Apartments gets new look from ASG

What a difference a sign makes. This large apartment complex was getting a renovation facelift, and the old signs looked tired and dated. ASG designed a fresh new look for the sign program, including the main and secondary monument signs, directional signs and building signs. Fabrication and installation is due to be complete by 2009.

ASG General Manager Owen Taylor wins grant for Virginia Sign Association to train OSHA standards and sign shop safety

Giving back. For many years, ASG has been active on the Board of the Virginia Sign Association. Owen Taylor, our current Board representative, wrote a proposal to fill a need he recognized for sign shops across the state to better understand and implement safety practices, including OSHA requirements. The grant award underwrites free training and materials to participants—and the learning they take back to their companies will enhance the safety of many more.
